30-Minute Phone Consultation

 

30 minutes with us can save you HOURS of research trying to decide what to do, or what company to pick. For this consultation be prepared to give us a background of information, you may use our contact form to provide this in advance in order to save time for the phone conversation. Based on your situation, your timeline and the contents of your home we will then tell you the pros and cons of each option and provide a you with the option(s) we think would be best for you based on those facts and provide you with realistic expectations.

  • A list of options and the pros and cons of each.

  • Providing realistic expectations.

  • Suggestions on the most efficient and productive way for you to move forward.

60-Minute Phone Consultation

A longer, 60-minute consultation can go a long way in saving you time and potentially, money. During this conversation we will start off the same way we would with the 30 minute consultation. We would like to hear a background in the situation, the home, the contents inside the home and to know what your timeline is. We will then discuss the options that exist and the pros and cons of each and provide you with suggestions on how to best approach your situation. For the next 30 minutes or so, we will go into a little bit more detail about the 2nd-hand market industry: what is selling and what is not selling. How to prepare for an in-home consultation for an estate sale company, auction company, or a consignment or charity. How to prepare for the sale itself. How to communicate your needs and wants with the company you choose. How much you’ll likely make from the sale. How to prepare for the aftermath of a sale.

Information included:

  • A list of options and the pros and cons of each.

  • Providing realistic expectations.

  • Suggestions on the most efficient and productive way for you to move forward.

  • In-depth analysis of what is currently selling and what is not and why that is occurring.

  • How to prepare for meetings with estate sale or auction companies and charities. A list of important questions to ask these companies.

  • How to prepare for the sale itself. Many companies are not good at communicating this information to you.

  • What to do after the sale concludes.

  • A general estimate as to how much you will likely make from a sale.

In-Home Consultation

At this time, we can only provide an in-home consultation only to those who live in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and D.C. However we do offer zoom call walk-throughs for those in other parts of the country.

This consultation is not “timed” but basically it will allow us to observe the contents in your home and will allow us to consider the logistics of the home and the challenges that this might possibly bring.  We will provide you with the same information that we would during a phone consultation, however, you might consider this to be a more ‘accurate’ assessment since it allows us to view the items and to see the condition of the home and surrounding neighborhood which are all important factors that must be considered when deciding whether or not to hold an estate sale or choosing another option.

  • In-depth analysis of what is currently selling and what is not and why that is occurring.

  • What to do after the sale concludes.

  • A general estimate as to how much you will make from a sale (more accurate)

  • Non-timed. Ask any question you may have.

  • Personal observation of the items you have for sale.

  • Logistics observation. Allows you to consider how your neighborhood and the condition of your home would negatively or positively impact the results of your sale.

*Note: When scheduling, you are scheduling for a phone call to set up the in-home appointment only which will have to be scheduled over the phone. 

Personalized Strategic plan

This option includes one-hour phone consultation. Along with this consultation, we will provide you several forms of information and include a personalize strategy that provides you with a list of local companies to choose from. We also provide you with a written form of our recommendation for how to prepare and tackle the liquidation process in your home.

This includes:

  • 60-minute phone consultation and all of the information that includes.

  • Research and written strategic plan of action along with a list of company recommendations. Our goal is to save you time researching the various companies and organizations that exist in your area.

*Note: Includes 60 minute phone consultation & plan will be delivered by email within 5 business days after agreed upon date.

Personalized Strategic plan + initial action

This option includes either a one-hour phone consultation or an in-home consultation depending on your preference, a written strategic plan, as well as taking the initial steps of action on your behalf. While we still conduct research and provide you with a list of recommendations and companies to choose from, it is still your responsibility to choose the company that you feel is best for your. However, we will discuss a list of additional questions you may have for all of these companies and provide them with a list of dates or time frames that you are hoping to have a sale. This will save you the time of having to call each coming individual to ask the same questions. You provide us with the questions and we will call the companies and advocate on your behalf. We’ll provide you with a list of the answers that each company provided.

This includes:

  • 60-Minute phone consultation OR in-home consultation

  • Research and written strategic plan of action along with a list of company recommendations.

  • We’ll reach out to the various companies and charities. We'll ask the questions that you provide to us on your behalf to save you the time and frustration that comes from being put on hold and playing phone tag with the smaller operations.

*Note: Scheduling is for the one 60 minute phone consultation. If an in-home consultation is preferred, an initial call will need to be made to schedule this separately. Plan and initial action will be delivered by email within 7 business days after agreed upon date.
